Feminism is about women's liberation AND dismantling the patriarchy. Which yes, ultimately, does serve both genders.
What you refer to as 'mainstream feminism' sounds awfully a lot like Buzzfeed or girlboss 'feminism'. Throwing empty words around and talking about manspreading isn't feminism. Making fun of men isn't feminism either. That's a shallow, Internet culture-inspired version of it.
I work with a feminist political party in the UK, and several other charities and I can assure you none of the things you wrote in the article are on anyone's agenda. Neither is men-hate that you claim is widespread. But if by men-hate you understand the critique of toxic masculinity, 'alpha' males, incel ideology, male violence, or traditional gender roles then that's a fundamental misunderstanding of what any of those issues are.
Again, all of the points you make in your article sound awfully familiar to an incel forum on Reddit or an MRA website. Even if your intentions weren’t malicious, writing about feminism with a surface-level understanding of what it is is… dangerous. You’re giving more power to those who want to shit all over it. And last time I checked we still need it. A lot. There’s plenty of resources, books, and academic papers that deal with feminist theory. Especially intersectional feminist theory. Something to look into perhaps.
