I think anyone that shows respect towards other people would honour their dress code when going to an event that person organised. That's basic human decency.

Dress codes existed since the dawn of times, and I'm sure they will still exist long after we're gone. I don't have a problem with that whatsoever, my point is that we don't have to dress modestly in order to be respected. And NOT that we should dress however we want at all times. Or did you actually think I'd go to a funeral half-naked?
