I’d recommend reading de Waal’s more recent work on gendered behaviour, particularly ‘Different: Gender Through the Eyes of a Primatologist’ in which he argues against some of his earlier claims and against the notion that there are specific ‘feminine’ or ‘masculine’ behaviours. The great thing about science is that it constantly evolves based on the available information and how we understand it. But sure, go ahead and call the fact that it does ‘indoctrination.’
