It's so ridiculous that women simply existing in our bodies is so often considered a 'statement' if we choose not to abide by the mainstream beauty standards. I usually don't shave because I'm lazy, and that's honestly it. My choice has nothing to do with shocking other people, or making a political statement. I just can't be bothered to care.
