Sensationalism exists, that's true, but ot doesn't change the fact that laws and regulations do change as a result of poltical battles. And those can harm different communities.

Judging by recent law changes in Europe at least, it's the conservatives that do most harm for women and LGBTQ+ community. There is no denying that, really.
