I have a feeling that people who left those comments didn't even bother reading my article and jumped stright to conclusion that I must be denying to have any sort of 'white privilege'. Obviously, I'm not doing that. And I don't claim that the discrimination we Slavs face is racism - it's xenophobia. But dismantling xenophobia, racism and other harmful ideologies and prejudices is ultimately the same fight. It obviously differers from one country to another, because of different historical context and present day situation, but that's precisely why we shouldn't be projecting what we know about our country and reality on others.
