That’s just the impression I got from the highlighted sentence about young girls ‘being taught philosophy, literature, dance, and, most importantly how to please men.’ Of course they’re taught that, just like boys, but the emphasis on pleasing men I feel like it’s just a bit too stereotypical. But I do agree and liked your piece, just wanted to point out that the myth of submissive Eastern European women that just want to please men is really more of a myth 😅
