Yes, it's definitely not an all or nothing thing. That's an interesting point about Canada though, I'm not that familiar with how the situation looks like over there when it comes to various immigrant groups, but I'd certainly never guess that pierogi and borscht can be so popular! I wish that would be the case in the UK, where I live. It's difficult to find good Eastern European food here.
