You raise a lot of really good points here, thank you for writing. I never thought about it before, but it's true that as the plane seats get smaller and narrower it's often us women who suffer because of it. I'm tall and have quite wide hips, which means if there's a person sitting next to me, my hips and ass will almost certainly be touching their body... which is uncomfortable to say the least.
